HHS IHS Sources Sought: Backup Software for Oklahoma Area IT

Notice ID: 246-23-Q-147

Description

The Indian Health Service (IHS) Oklahoma City Area Office has a need to backup and protect the server infrastructure and data. We are currently using backup software called Microsoft DPM. This product performs backup to disk as well as tape drives. These tapes are then taken to an offsite facility for disaster recovery. We have 6 field facilities, plus the Area Office, using the Microsoft product. This product has no software support, is out of date, and does not offer any new features. We are looking to replace our backup software. We need software that can replicate backup data to other facilities, and provide us a disaster recovery solution. This would also provide us the ability to have an entire Oklahoma City Area Disaster Recovery plan. Our plan is to acquire a modern backup software package before the end of FY23. We are using currently using Microsoft DPM to backup to data and tape that has no vendor support.
