VA Seeks IT Specialist (Policy/Planning)

“The incumbent provides leadership, vision and direction for the use of IT systems, related requirements and the distribution lines of the operation..” 

Responsibilities

  • “Advise senior management by providing technical advice, oversight, and direction of multiple national IT programs. 
  • Provide expert level technical policy and planning guidance, and technical direction and oversight to the Districts and offices executing IT software and automation, information assurance, information security, technology investments and initiatives. 
  • Conduct research to remain up-to-date and knowledgeable regarding industry trends and emerging technologies in anticipation of new business processes and system or security alterations. 
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee execution of IT solutions supporting organizational needs while providing direction in all technology- related issues. 
  • Develop and monitor organizational security metrics.”
