Press Release: Ortega and Kittrell tapped as new CGI Knoxville Technology Center leads

CGI has tapped Lori Ortega and Matt Kittrell to head the operations of its recently opened technology center in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, they will lead federal and commercial including overseeing the recruitment of 300 engineers, developers, programmers and data and business analysts; continuing its partnership with the University of Tennessee’s Heath Integrated Business and Engineering Program; and establishing the local chapter of STEM@CGI, CGI’s signature program aiming at getting underprivileged students engaged in math and science.

Ms. Ortega brings over 30 years of experience at CGI, including the last 12 years at CGI Federal working in program and project management, strategy development, IT portfolio management and business operations for space and government health agency clients. In this new role, she will lead the federal efforts to help build the center as CGI’s on-going onshore strategy.

Mr. Kittrell joins CGI with over 20 years of business services and management consulting experience. At the Knoxville technology center, Matt will focus on service delivery for clients in CGI’s Commercial and State Government business unit and on developing community partnerships throughout the Knoxville area.

In addition to the new leads, CGI also welcomes cyber leader Christine Horwege to the Knoxville technology center as part of the Security and Governance group in our Emerging Technologies Practice. Ms. Horwege brings a wealth of experience in establishing cybersecurity strategy and risk assessments for federal agencies and commercial entities.
