HHS Indian Health Service posts job seeking Office of Information Technology (OIT) Director

“This position is located in the Office of Information Technology (OIT), IHS. OIT is responsible for advising the Director, IHS and senior IHS leadership on all aspects of information technology (IT) and health IT (HIT) and ensuring IHS compliance with IT and HIT-related Federal laws, regulations and policies.”

“OIT develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, plans budgets, standards, and architecture for IT and HIT in the IHS. OIT leads and is responsible for the design, development, acquisition, implementation, and support of IHS information systems and HIT services used in the delivery of direct patient care, population health, and the generation of 3rd party revenue exceeding $1B annually for the IHS. OIT is responsible for the leadership, direction, and management of the IHS IT Security program to protect the Information and resources of the IHS. OIT participates in cross-government initiatives and collaborates with Federal, Tribal, State, and other partners in order to effectively and efficiently serve Al/AN people…”
