LCG is seeking a Business Development Director with deep HHS experience. Ideal candidate will focus on developing and managing relationship between LCG and target client by establishing and cultivating key government decision makers within NIH, CMS, HRSA, FDA, VA and CDC. Ideal candidate should have knowledge of HHS and other health related agency missions, major initiatives, IT organizational structures, and acquisition processes. The ideal candidate will have experience leading the capture process, developing SWOT analysis, strategic planning, and will have played a hands-on role in new revenue attainment.
Role Description:
- Proactively identify, qualify, lead, and close new business opportunities
- Perform market research to qualify new business opportunities, including analysis of customer budgets, capabilities required, current customer preferences, competitive environment assessments, and incumbent strengths and weaknesses.
- Proposal writing support
- Develop and maintain 4x target new business pipeline on a rolling 18-month basis
- Meet with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices.
- Work with Senior Leadership in call plan development and execution, and provide detailed reports on follow up activities after plan execution.
- Work cooperatively with program management, marketing, finance, contracts, legal, and executive management to maximize organizational involvement to develop winning bids
- Responsible for tracking targets in corporate tracking system, following approved Business Acquisition Process, developing and presenting senior management Gate Reviews of opportunities
