12 Federal Health Events to Plan for in 2019

As December comes to an end, the focus will soon be on a fresh start in the new year. There are some key Federal Health networking and educational events already scheduled or in planning stages for the next 12 months. Here are 12 events to plan for in 2019.

AFCEA Bethesda Health IT Day
When: January 29-30, 2019
Where: Bethesda, MD
AFCEA Bethesda’s annual Health IT Summit brings together more than 1,000 senior executives and IT professionals from across industry and Federal Agencies with Healthcare initiatives with a goal of fostering better interagency communication among key stakeholders, sharing lessons learned and best practices, identifying mission-critical IT issues that strengthen program management, aligning the acquisition and budget process with the technology cycle, improving accountability and increasing engagement with industry.

HIMSS 2019 Conference
When: February 11-15, 2019
Where: Orlando, FL
This health information and technology conference, that brings together 45,000+ professionals from 90+ countries for the education, innovation and collaboration they need to transform health through information and technology, includes 300+ education sessions, 1,300+ vendors, endless networking events and numerous keynote speakers of interest to the Federal Health community.

Health Datapalooza 2019
When: March 27-28, 2019
Where: Washington, DC
Bringing together a diverse community of more than 1,300, Health Datapalooza is where Federal policymakers and regulatory leads take their seats beside the health system’s chief officers, Silicon Valley startups, data gladiators, and patients for meaningful collaboration and face-to-face conversations about the big ideas, big opportunities, and policy hurdles for improving health and Healthcare.

Military Healthcare
When: April 29-May 1, 2019
Where: Washington, DC
Military Healthcare 2019 will provide a platform to share and discuss solutions and strategies for the way ahead. Covering a wide array of topics, from maintaining a medically ready and medically prepared force, accessibility to Healthcare for efficient and effective treatment, advancing telehealth and telemedicine technologies and taking a closer look into the medical supply chain, this even provides an opportunity to collaborate with peers and to support the current and future requirements of the Military Health sector.

16th Bi-Annual DoD/VA & Gov Health IT Summit
When: May 8-9, 2019 and October 16-17, 2019
Where: Alexandria, VA
DSI’s DoD/VA and Gov. HIT Summit provides a forum for representatives from the DoD, VA, Government Agencies, academia, and industry, including key policy makers, solution providers and Senior Healthcare leaders,  the opportunity to detail their organization’s efforts to advance the Federal health IT ecosystem through innovative IT solutions, strategy, and capabilities.

2019 FedHealthIT Innovation Awards

Bringing together senior Federal Health IT executives from Industry and Government to recognize and honor Federal Health innovation, technology and consulting sector programs nominated and selected by their peers for DRIVING INNOVATION and RESULTS across the Department of Veterans Affairs, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Military Health, the Department of Health and Human Services, this key networking event also includes executive panel discussions focused on creating a common language to move the conversation forward.

Defense Health Information Technology Symposium

DHITS provides a platform to interact and discuss strategic changes as it brings together participants from the Military Health System (MHS), Defense Health Agency (DHA), and Military Services’ Health IT Community.

CMS Convergence 2019

Where: Baltimore, MD
The goal of this annual conference is to bring CMS’ IT together and converge as one enterprise, while still focusing on each program’s specific CMS objectives. The 2018 event promised attendees would hear from those actively engaged in key enabler projects that are advancing the Agency’s programs as well as its ongoing journey to transform our delivery of services, as well as the innovations that are occurring, a glimpse of what’s happening today and the vision for the future.

FedHealthIT Impact, Women in Leadership Conference

In its second year, FedHealthIT will recognize women creating IMPACT, Leading Organizations and Mission-Focused Strategic Programs across the Federal Technology and Consulting Community. The event will feature leading Federal Government Executive Keynote panelists and an opportunity to network with Federal IT and Consulting Executives from Government and industry.

AMSUS National Meeting
When: December 2 – 6, 2019
Where: National Harbor, MD
This Federally focused event brings senior Federal Healthcare professionals together to view demonstrations of the latest advances in Healthcare and a range of leading medical and Healthcare exhibitors.

FedHealthIT 100 Awards Event

The FedHealthIT100 honors those individuals recognized for driving change and advancement in the Federal Health Information Technology Market in support of Health and Human Services, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Military Health and Veterans Affairs missions.
