Press Release: Baris Yener Joins Abt Associates as Chief Growth Officer

Rockville, MD — Baris Yener, a veteran business development executive, has joined Rockville, MD-based Abt Associates as Chief Growth Officer. He brings more than 25 years of experience in growth strategy, marketing, and organizational transformation with companies such as ICF and Booz Allen Hamilton.

At Abt, Baris will oversee business development, strategic capture, strategic growth, sales enablement, marketing, and communications. He will work with business leaders to accelerate growth for the company.

Before joining Abt, Baris served as senior vice president and chief growth officer for the Public Sector & Technology Group at ICF, where he helped achieve record top-line sales for two consecutive years. His experience extended beyond sales and included building growth-oriented business processes, creating innovative revenue streams, and leading collaborative teams. While at ICF, Washington Exec named him one of the Top Business Development Execs to Watch in 2022.

Prior to ICF, Baris spent 13 years at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he led the firm’s Market Sensing & Development functional capability. He helped leaders across the company understand the external market and improve business decisions. He also spent time at Alion Science & Technology, the Corporate Executive Board (now Gartner), Washington Asset Management Inc., and Direct Export, Inc.

Baris has an M.B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. from Babson College.
