This position is located in the DHHS, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Clinical Standards and Quality (CCSQ), Information System Grp. (ISG), (DQSOS).
As a Supervisory IT Specialist, GS-2210-14, you will serve as the Deputy Director as a full deputy to the Director. The incumbent identifies operational and process improvements for all components of the computing environment and ensures the health and operational viability of all HCQIS systems.
Duties
- Provides oversight and guidance for a wide variety of activities related to information technology (IT) operations and provides direction for the operations of the HCQIS Data Center.
- Provides oversight for a wide variety of activities related to information technology (IT) operations and network infrastructure and ensures operation continuity of both production and non-production computing environments.
- Continually ensures that the services and products offered by DQSOS staff and contractors align with the needs of the Quality Programs.
- Directs and provides oversight for ongoing operations of the HCQIS quality systems comprised of both on premise and off premise computing environments.
- Provides direction to staff who oversee the Independent Validation and Verification (IV and V) and Stress Testing environments that support successful functional and performance testing.
