Industry Driving Innovation within the Census Bureau

In this special vodcast, Brock Webb of the Census Bureau joins us to discuss how industry helps Government innovate and how you too can get involved!

About Brock Webb, Technology Strategist, Cloud Computing Program Manager, Census Bureau

Brock Webb is the Cloud Program Manager and leads Infrastructure Planning within the Computer Services Directorate at the United States Census Bureau. He recently returned from a yearlong special assignment as a Senior IT Policy Advisor within the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). While there, he led the initial implementation of two sections from Title 3 of the Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act. Brock is a strategic thought leader, innovator, and change agent for Information Technology (IT) services. He was critical in establishing and leading the Census Cloud Program, which has transformed the way Census acquires and consumes IT. Under his leadership, the Census Cloud Program has saved millions in cost avoidance while modernizing capabilities, software, and IT processes. Prior to joining Census, Brock was the Chief Engineer for Cloud Computing in the Chief Technology Office (CTO) at the Department of Defense (DoD) Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). There, he played a key role in the development of DISA/DoD policy, strategic vision, implementation plans, and capability analysis.
