OptumServe receives $58.7 million in contracts to Provide Health Services to 9/11 Responders and Survivors, and U.S. Armed Forces

“OptumServe, the federal government health services business of Optum, was recently selected to continue to provide health services to participants in two federal health programs, building on years of successful service to first responders and the U.S. Armed Forces.”

“OptumServe’s Logistics Health Inc. was issued a contract by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health to provide health evaluations, monitoring exams, diagnostic services and treatment for survivors and first responders of the 9/11 attacks residing within the New York metropolitan area as part of the World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program. The two-year contract began June 1, 2018. This award, coupled with LHI’s current WTC Nationwide Provider Network contract, enables LHI to serve WTC Health Program members nationwide.”

“LHI will continue to provide specialty consultations on behalf of the Department of Defense for applicants entering the U.S. Armed Forces through the Military Entrance Processing Command (USMEPCOM) Medical Specialty Consultations Program. Medical specialty services include optometry, allergy, audiology and cardiology consultations, among others. The company also will continue to coordinate the delivery of medical testing and laboratory services for these applicants. The five-year follow-on contract begins Sept. 1, 2018.”

“Optum and OptumServe have a long history of serving military service members, veterans and their families, and providing worldwide nurse line triage, care advice and coordination services to more than 9 million eligible TRICARE beneficiaries.” Read the full press release here.
