The Federal Health IT market has seen astounding growth over the past decade and, as such, this market continues to be ripe for M&A activity. In this report, G2Xchange Health independently assessed dozens of companies in the Federal Health IT market and narrowed the list to five companies we believe are prime acquisition targets.
Some of the criteria we used for assessment includes:
- Unique and differentiable capabilities in Health IT
- Key contracts and past performance at respective Federal Health IT agencies
- Contract vehicles in place for targeting Health IT, especially GWACs, agency IDIQs and BPAs
- Leadership and key staff with Health IT domain expertise
- Key certifications and strategic partnerships
- Reputation in the marketplace

Led by CAPT (Ret.) Ben Long, LongView IT Solutions was started shortly after this former MHS IT executive retired from the Navy. Started as a SDVOSB, LongView seized early opportunities as a prime awardee on the $12B VA T4 contract vehicle. This included winning more than their fair share of task orders on T4 including technical and program management support for many notable programs within the VA Service Delivery and Engineering Office, the Veterans Relationship Management Office, and the VA Financial Services Center.
