VA seeking Deputy Network Director, VISN 20

“The Health Systems Administrator- Deputy Network Director position is located in Vancouver, WA in support of the Veteran’s Integrated Service Network (VISN) 20. Incumbent is directly accountable for providing strategic leadership and direction to the activities of the Network’s Chief Financial Officer, Chief Logistics Officer, Capital Asset Manager and the Financial QA Officer as well as other areas as assigned by the Network Director.”

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates network’s facility-based finance, logistics and capital asset management functions.
  • Applies solid financial and administrative skills to ensure that fiscal, material, capital assets and personnel resources are utilized effectively and efficiently.
  • Utilizes delegated authority from the Network Director to speak for the VISN regarding finance, logistics and capital asset management operations in matters pertaining to VA Central Office, facility management, outside agencies, and Network Staff.
  • Provides assistance in special operational assignments often of a highly sensitive nature and must be knowledgeable of and understand the missions, functions, and operation of Central Office, Network, and Medical Center.
  • Provides input and makes decisions that have strong impact on medical centers, VISNs, and national matters.
  • Develops and implements VISN financial plan, budget, and management reports.
  • Oversees VISN Logistics and ensures accomplishment of all logistic goals, procurement regulations, and policies.
  • Assists in developing the Network’s capital asset goals, short/long-range plans, and efficient operations.
