“The 25-page report, mandated by the Repack Airwaves Yielding Better Access for Users of Modern Services (RAY BAUM’S) Act of 2018, finds that the nation’s 18.2 million veterans tend to have less access to high-speed Internet services than the general public – yet that population has more of a need to be connected, especially to connected care programs…”
“Through a consistent and reliable telemedicine platform, veterans can access healthcare services online and from their own homes or a nearby clinic, eliminating the need to travel to the nearest VA hospital. This greatly improves access to both primary and specialist care among a population that needs more of these virtual connections…”
