VA RFQ: Modernizing DotNetNuke (DNN) Web Environment

1.0       PRODUCT REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Information Resource Center (VIReC) requires software and associated support services to modernize its web environment that runs on the open-source DotNetNuke (DNN) platform.  This includes commercial off the shelf (COTS) software designed for developing and customizing the open-source DNN platform, support services, and professional services required for software maintenance, troubleshooting, and customization.  Software capabilities and professional services will also support the following planned enhancements to the web environment:

  1. implementing online communities starting with focused question and answer discussion forums;
  2. site-wide reorganization and redesign;
  3. incorporating structured content;
  4. integrating content across the web environment;
  5. building in more robust search and filter options, collaboration spaces, and tools for knowledge management;
  6. ramping up reporting and analytics tools;
  7. adding customer support and feedback components; and
  8. providing a more seamless user experience.

The contractor shall have experience in user experience (UX) design within a DNN environment and be able to provide evidence of experience.

The Base period of performance shall be 12 months from date of award with one 12-month Option Period to be exercised at the Government’s discretion.
