VA seeks Supervisory Information Technology Specialist

Duties

This position is primarily aligned to the following NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework work roles:

Major Duties:

  • Responsible to the ECC Director for overseeing the Business Line Management teams to design, instrument and sustain monitoring solutions for all VA business lines and portfolios.
  • Partners with executive-level Business Line Directors to ensure that operational and portfolio needs are met.
  • Responsible for managing and supporting the effective and efficient planning and execution of diverse information technology and business operations functions within the Enterprise Command Center.
  • Provides direct supervision of first-level Information Technology Supervisors and monitors and/or oversees appropriate performance measures and indicators to assess the overall success of the office.
  • Makes recommendations for new Information Technology, operational methods and standards, budget, contracting, resource management and training services, approaches, or policies…

Experience – Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
