Summary
The incumbent functions as the Deputy Health Care System Director performing a variety of duties in an extremely complex health care system, which is constantly evolving within a highly complex and diverse geographic area. The VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System is a Joint Commission accredited, complexity level 1A facility serving Veterans in eastern Colorado and parts of Kansas.
Duties
- Note-This position is a Temporary Not to Exceed detail/promotion and is anticipated to be for 120 days, but may be extended.
- Planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, controlling, reviewing, evaluating, and improving medical, administrative, and supporting operations of a health care facility/system which administers a variety of medical care and treatment for a large geographic area.
- Determines program goals and objectives, develops short-and long-range plans for achieving them in conjunction with the overall plans of the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) and consistent with the strategic planning process.
- Directs a comprehensive evaluation of program goals and objectives and makes necessary adjustments to improve delivery of patient care services.
- Establishes local policy in such areas as program emphasis and operating guidelines.
