VBA seeking Assistant Director, Business Strategy

Summary

The Program Manager is in the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Office of Benefits Automation (OBA). The Program Manager serves as the Assistant Director for the Business Strategy team and is responsible for leading a team of analysts, who conduct analytical and evaluative work related to business strategy for benefits automation.

Duties

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining business strategy and policy for the automated processing of Veteran benefits.
  • Plans and delegates work, establishes priorities, assigns work based on the nature and difficulty of the projects.
  • Provides advice and guidance on both assignments and administrative matters; reviews completed work.
  • Evaluates performance and makes recommendations concerned with promotions, within grade increases, performance awards, adverse/disciplinary actions, selections of qualified candidates for subordinate positions.
