Description
Objective: To secure ongoing system support, server and storage hardware maintenance and repair; software licensing, maintenance, and upgrades; and security patching for the current Intellispace PACS system in use by the VISN 8 Sunshine Healthcare Network to ensure Radiology and Cardiovascular Imaging services are available for patient care with minimal service interruption and prompt corrective action to restore those services in the event of unavoidable interruptions.
Background: VISN 8, the largest VISN in Veterans Administration, employs a proprietary Intellispace PACS system across all seven (7) facilities consisting of Tampa, Gainesville, Orlando, Bay Pines, Miami, West Palm Beach and San Juan, PR. The system employs VMware infrastructure at each site with the primary site located at the Lakemont datacenter in Orlando, FL. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all maintenance, support, and ongoing sustainment for the existing VISN 8 Intellispace PACS system. Support shall include furnishing all necessary hardware repair, storage expansion, database and software licensing, software upgrades, and installation/support services required to maintain the VISN 8 PACS at a 99% uptime. The currently installed Intellispace PACS system includes:
Intellispace PACS Radiology – an advanced radiology diagnostic application that provides a comprehensive, full-resolution diagnostic presentation of current and prior procedures and associated clinical information.
Intellispace PACS Enterprise – a browser-based medical image and information management system that provides immediate full resolution, diagnostic-quality images on demand, directly to the point of patientcare to all standard Personal Computers (PCs) anywhere across the healthcare enterprise.
iVault an always-online digital medical image storage system that supports millions of studies per year and more than a thousand concurrent IntelliSpace Enterprise and IntelliSpace Radiology clients across multiple sites. In addition, iVault provides a common storage/archive for VISN 8 Cardiology PACS images.
Intellispace Portal – Advanced Post Processing software/hardware and Work Flow Tools
Intellispace Cardiovascular PACS – a Cardiovascular diagnostic imaging system for cardiac and vascular ultrasound, and Cardiac Catheterization lab images. Intellispace Cardiovascular (ISCV) includes storage, retrieval, viewing, and reporting tools as well as advanced diagnostic tools for cardiac and vascular measurement and quantification. ISCV archives all images to the Intellispace iVault.
