USAMRDC seeks Medical Modeling Simulation Informatics and Visualization (MMSIV) Division Chief

“Looking for an exceptional scientist, leader and visionary to lead Telemedicine & Advanced Technology Research Center’s (TATRC) efforts to fuse data, humans and machines as the Chief of our Medical Modeling Simulation Informatics and Visualization (MMSIV) Division.” 

Responsibilities: 

  • “Supervise, manage, direct and oversee technology and research development (RD) programs related to medical simulation and training technology 
  • Conduct simulation activities utilizing various strategies (i.e. adaptive tutoring, training effectiveness, distributed learning, artificial intelligence, virtual/mixed augmented reality, virtual humans, live and medical simulation, and computer IT) 
  • Develop metrics for assessing the impact of technology and procedures on Soldier training and effectiveness 
  • Identify and refine simulation activity processes and methods to improve efficiency, effectiveness and impact of simulation activities 
  • Translate various training skills and knowledge to militarily relevant environments and missions 
  • Create performance based design standards for acquisition of materials for Army requirements and mission readiness 
  • Establish new areas of research, identify barriers and provide redirection for problem areas that arise in the critical care of medical simulation efforts 
  • Prepare and refine proposals, abstracts for publication, presentations to obtain funding sources”
