“The Director of Client Growth and Strategy- Veterans Affairs (VA) will investigate, identify, qualify, pursue, and support capture of new business pursuits and critical re-competes involving opportunities in our VA market sector.”
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a pipeline containing opportunities within Health Innovation and Data Science, with a particular focus on Veterans Affairs (VA)
- Identify potential opportunities for new growth, initiate marketing strategies and capture plans, and build relationships with potential customers and industry partners
- Coordinate meetings with key stakeholders and conduct research to develop market insight, have a firm understanding of customer requirements and needs, and understands the strengths/weaknesses and technical offerings of competitors
- Provide leadership from early opportunity identification and qualification through the post-submission phases of an opportunity
- Support overall strategic planning and link pursuit/capture activity to business development metrics for awards, submits, and pipeline
- Collaborate with Business Development team to ensure alignment with contract delivery and revenue goals
- Develop client deliverables such as responses to Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposal (RFP), and Statements of Work (SOW) or other related presentations
- Develop financial solutions for proposed client work based on client requirements and competitive marketplace analysis
- Establish value-added teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures to deliver a profitable return at a winning price
- Support post-award analysis to identify lessons learned and trends for future opportunities
- Attend conferences, summits, or other networking events
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience may substitute for a degree
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Strategic Capture or Business Development within healthcare markets required, four of which must include management consulting services
- Experience winning contracts within the federal government with knowledge of respective acquisition/procurement policies and regulations
- Experience and current knowledge of VA preferred
- Network of industry and government contacts
- Well versed in industry practices/trends/leaders
- Experience supporting a team throughout the proposal development lifecycle, including writing and managing sections of proposals
- Proven ability to design creative strategies and turn those strategies into winning bids and actionable steps that improve business development operations
- Thorough understanding of price-to-win analysis
- Must possess ability to work collaboratively with leadership team to develop sound, executable business development strategies and client engagement plans.
