Pleiotek scores DHA Next Generation Operational Mobile Medicine Application and Integration Platform Phase II follow-on

Pleiotek, a woman-owned small business and Agile development technology firm and consultancy has been awarded a $1M Phase II follow on to its Defense Health Agency SBIR for creating novel solutions to solve the patient data movement problem in Theater/Austere environments.

Phase II builds on work in Phase I and will further its prototype of a now patented (patent #10,786,395) Novel Storage and Transmission Device and a patent pending compression algorithm for storing and transmitting large quantities of structured patient data, images, audio and video in disconnected environments.

Led by Federal Health Industry leader Joshua Temkin, President and CTO, Pleiotek will be manufacturing the device into a demonstrable product, establishing a reusable software library and developing a set of mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms that will demonstrate the use and feasibility of these new technologies and approaches.

This award builds on several subcontract wins this group has garnered in support of Veterans Affairs over the past few years.
