As the Director, Data Analytics and Systems Group, CPI, you will provide leadership and executive direction for CMS’ comprehensive analytics strategy, including providing statistical and data analysis for Program Integrity (PI) issues in the Medicare and Medicaid programs, as well as identifying emerging fraud trends through data mining and other advanced analytical techniques. G2X TAKE: The announcement that CMS is seeking a new Data Analytics Director to lead a comprehensive analytics strategy for the Center for Program Integrity (CPI), begs the question of what happened to current Director, Raymond Wedgeworth. While that still remains unclear, what we do know is that this group, led by Dr. Shantanu Agrawal has had a lot of success, including recent claims of saving $1.5B in Medicare Fraud, and this person will have their hands full supporting this highly visible organization.
