DHA Welcomes New Branch Chief

Maria Cante has assumed the role of Branch Chief at the Defense Health Agency, leveraging over 15 years of extensive experience in Cybersecurity and Information Technology. Maria has a background leading four teams comprising 17 government, military, and contractors, instilling motivation for optimal performance. Maria was committed to safeguarding the Department of Defense (DOD) Office of Inspector General (OIG) data, ensuring compliance, and fostering a balanced work-life dynamic.

Maria also played a pivotal role in orchestrating the implementation of the inaugural Insider Threat Program for the DOD OIG, including the recruitment of a new support team to maintain the project. Maria’s contributions extend to policy development, notably drafting and publishing a new policy governing the use of OIG-furnished equipment outside the United States for non-mission users, ensuring compliance and security protocols.
