Armed with perspective gained serving in progressively responsible roles across the military & legal industries for more than 10 years, Jennifer Esparza takes on a new challenge as Senior Advisor to the Deputy Secretary at the Department of Veterans Affairs. This senior innovation executive joins the agency after a year and a half as White House Liaison where Jennifer played a central role in driving efforts to harness the power of strategic human resource planning to foster diversity and improve talent management initiatives. In Jennifer’s new role, they’ll be serving as the confidential advisor to the deputy secretary.
In a post on LinkedIn, Jennifer wrote: “Today, I was sworn into the Senior Executive Service as Senior Advisor to the Deputy Secretary of VA, by the Honorable Tanya Bradsher. It is the honor of a lifetime to not only serve in this administration, but also to serve in support of our first-confirmed woman, first woman of color, highest ranking woman at VA, and a combat veteran.”
