Summary
VHA and OIT/Office of the Chief Technology Officer are partnering together to solve the following problem: How might we alleviate the burden of doctor-facing clinical reminders in the electronic health record with patient-facing digital questionnaires? Currently, clinicians receive clinical reminders in both CPRS and Cerner, and those questionnaires/screeners are largely completed during the medical encounter. VA does not have an enterprise tool, or series of tools, that allows clinical staff to send digital questionnaires or self-screeners to Veterans.
