Summary
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Offices of Hearings and Inquiries (OHI), Medicare Ombudsman Group (MOG), Division of Medicare Data Analysis and Project Management (DAPM).
As a Deputy Division Director, GS-0107-14, you will assist the Division Director with leading a staff responsible for trend analysis of Medicare program inquiries, complaints, and appeals data.
Duties
- Directs the implementation of efficient and effective procedures and activities related to the coordination of Medicare complaint trends analysis and evaluation.
- Oversees the review of complaint data and trends, including the communication of these trends to HHS leadership and Congress, who may use them for decision-making at the highest levels of government on Medicare-related topics.
- Works with the Division Director to plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjust short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
- Provides supervisory oversight, guidance, and technical duties for staff supporting the Competitive Acquisition Ombudsman (CAO) functions.
- Oversees MOG’s statutory obligation to review and analyze a comprehensive set of programs, policies, and operations related to the overall impact of the Medicare program on beneficiaries as identified through complaints, appeals, and grievances.
