Summary
This position is located in the Hosting and Storage Services group of IT Services Management (ITSM), Center for Information Technology (CIT), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
The position functions as the Chief for Hosting and Storage Services and exercises managerial responsibility for planning, directing, and evaluating the range of activities involved with the acquisition, implementation, and utilization of a secure Hosting Infrastructure.
Duties
- Provides overall direction and guidance for the establishment of NIH-wide on-premises and cloud-based Hosting and Storage technologies.
- Oversees the general day-to-day operations of CIT’s Hosting and Storage Services Program Area, with a focus on cybersecurity, consistency, reusability, and integration of a substantial product portfolio to provide secure enterprise-wide cloud-based solutions and technologies.
- Collaborates with the NIH and CIT Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and their staffs to ensure the reliability, accessibility, integrity, and confidentiality of assigned programs and services, and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to CIT, NIH, and HHS systems, networks, and data.
- Serves as a senior member of the Service Area Management Team and participates in the development and implementation of Service Area-level program goals, objectives, plans, and policies.
