This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Program Integrity (CPI), Data Analytics and Systems Group (DASG), Division of Investigative Systems Management (DISM).
As a Supervisory IT Specialist (Systems Analysis), GS-2210-14, you will serve as a Deputy Division Director leading staff in developing and implementing strategies to support the programs CMS administers across the nation.
Duties
- Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
- Oversee technically complex projects and initiatives designed to address HHS and CMS Strategic Plan goals and objectives related to leveraging data and Information Technology (IT) in combating program fraud, waste, and abuse.
- Partner with the Division Director to oversee the staff-level work associated with managing new system development and enhancements in support of information gathering and analysis to detect fraud, waste, and abuse.
- Direct and develop validation and integration test plans for and collaborate with CMS business owners to develop user acceptance test plans.
- Advise teams on procurement requirements and the development of Statements of Work development to exercise definitive, independent judgments in developing, issuing evaluating CMS procurements related to IT systems and acquisition life cycle process.
