Summary
This position is the VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21) Deputy Network Director (DND) for the Financial and Logistics Operations. The DND is directly accountable for providing strategic leadership and direction to the activities of the Network’s Chief Financial Officer, Chief Logistics Officer, Capital Asset Manager and the Financial QA Officer as well as other areas as assigned by the Network Director.
Duties
- Provides authoritative advice and expertise in all areas of finance, logistics and capital assets management and utilization.
- Ensures the VISN is in full compliance with VHA and VA policy and regulatory requirements in all finance, logistics and capital asset management.
- Collaborates with Network leadership, Medical Center Directors, Chiefs of Staff, and others to develop and implement Network-wide and national policies and procedures.
- Encourages finance, logistics and capital asset management innovations at individual Network sites as between Networks and disseminations successes throughout the Network and VHA as appropriate.
- Oversees Develops and implementation s of the VISN financial plan and budget.
