Summary
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Information Technology (OIT), Enterprise Architecture and Data Group (EADG), Division of Technical Engineering and Architecture (TEA).
As a Supervisory IT Specialist (Systems Analysis), GS-2210-14, you will assists in providing leadership direction over the activities of the Division.
Duties
- Serves as a Deputy Division Director and exercises supervisory authority over staff.
- Supervises, directs, and coordinates the work of a staff of personnel spanning various grades.
- Creates and fosters a team that identifies, researches, assesses, and incorporates relevant emerging IT trends, technologies, and standards into the CMS technical architecture.
- Provides technical expertise to teams across the agency to ensure that the proposed technical architectures are sound, feasible, scalable and optimal.
- Works in partnership with CMS business components and contractors to assist in designing and developing IT technical architectures and conducts technical architecture evaluations and assesses the risks of IT Projects that are deemed critical to CMS.
