VHA seeking Administrative Officer, Chief Strategy Office

Summary

This position is administratively located in VA Central Office, Washington, DC, in the Chief Strategy Office. The incumbent servs as a Administrative Officer (Director, CSO Operations) withing the Chief Strategy Office and provides executive level support to the Chief Strategy Officer (SES) as well as his/her SES direct reports by providing business and administrative managements, coordination, and leadership as well as oversight and guidance within the Chief Strategy Officer.

Duties

The Incumbent performs the following major duties and responsibilities:

  • Financial Management to include budget development and execution; oversight of purchase card use; travel approval and processing; and timekeeping processing.
  • Human Capital Management including position management, performance management, incentives, workforce development and succession planning, and training to ensure optimal use of resources.
  • Oversee correspondence and communications to promote and advocate the work of the Program Office and enterprise integration of that work through Congressional/internal/external responses, development and publication of education and outreach materials as well as the CSO websites and SharePoint sites.
  • Analyzes and evaluates, on a quantitative and qualitative basis, the effectiveness of programs or operations in meeting established goals and objectives of the Program Office.
  • Serve as a liaison to the VA OI&T and manages the technology needs of the CSO through CSO IT System Liaison and CSO Equipment Inventory List (EIL) Coordinator responsibilities for equipment, network access, PIV, etc…
