As a Public Health Analyst (Data Analytics), you will:
- Perform independent public health policy research in support of the CDC/ATSDR director, public health data analytics, as well as other programmatic activities to further organizational goals and objectives.
- Identify, review, and analyze complex and highly visible actions such as legislation, executive directives, departmental policy issuances, and voluntary changes in practice by influential organizations or groups.
- Provide analysis and supports data interpretation to both technical experts and lay users of data.
- Perform data analytic functions to include the development of analytics, measures, and metrics to help foster performance towards service targets, objectives, and goals to influence agency public health decisions.
- Evaluate and interpret data extracts and reports from various systems, assessing relevant data sources validity and reliability, to meet project needs to aid stakeholders in understanding and utilizing analytical reports.
- Make recommendations to senior leadership on best practices to improve predictive analytics, data sampling, data warehousing processes, and other uses of advanced analytics and information technology.
- Develop reports and presentations and perform a variety of analytical duties involving public health and other program issues that contain complicated elements.
