VHA seeking Pharmacist-Director of Clinical Information Systems

Summary

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • The incumbent is the VISN Program Manager for the entire Electronic Health Record, including VISTA Clinical Information system (CIS) and associated clinical applications with main emphasis on Pharmacy related packages and their interface with the Computerized Patient Record System and Clinical Procedures.
  • Coordinates the management of these packages with the VISN Executive Leadership team and VISN program officials; as well as coordinates facility level HER activities with Chief of Pharmacy, BCMA Manager, Chief Health Information Officer (CHIO), the Chief of Staff and managers/chiefs of the various clinical services.
  • Serves as a liaison between the Chief of Staff, Pharmacy, the direct patient care service chiefs, ancillary and administrative service chiefs, Biomed, and OI&T; regarding the electronic patient record and all clinical information system programs at this Medical Center and its outpatient clinics.
  • Coordinates Order Entry and Results Reporting/Computerized Patient Record Systems(CPRS) programs, Clinical Procedures, Bar Code Medication Administration, and the related software packages that comprise those programs.
