Summary
This position serves as the Senior Health System Specialist with VISN 23 as an EHRM Change Management Lead. The VHA Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) is a national initiative to modernize the VHA electronic health care record (EHR) throughout the nation. As a key leader you will manage the creation and implementation a change management strategy and related plans to maximize adoption and usage of EHR tools and processes on a large scale while also minimizing resistance.
Duties
- Major duties and responsibilities include:
- Identify non-clinical organizational risks and develop plans of action for the approval of executive leadership that will avoid or minimize risk to the organization.
- Establish goals and work plans for the Compliance Section and ensure the implementation of goals and objectives of the service.
- Determines issues, areas, and/or subject matter that create risk for the organization and makes recommendations to executive leadership as to how to avoid or minimize the identified risks.
- Ensures that the policies and procedures within each program area align with VA Central Office, VA Office of Inspector General, as well as other organizations that provide oversight of the health care system.
