Livanta seeking Proposal Writers

Summary

Livanta is seeking proposal writers to be a part of a newly enhanced proposal shop for a public health entity. We are seeking proposal professionals with 5+ years of government proposal writing experience, preferably in healthcare, to develop bid content for our healthcare quality and healthcare experience improvement solutions.
Ideal writers will have a knack for breaking down technical content into easily digestible pieces to support proposals as sales documents, not technical treatises. They can grasp messaging as each unique strategy requires and can shift voice to the audience. Ideal candidates also know how to probe solutions to find the aha! sales element that contributes to a compelling, compliant response.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), or other types of requests (RFX), for new client acquisitions and rebids. Includes working with subject matter experts to develop and refine solutions to create new content or tailor existing content to bids. Work involves working independently with minimal oversight.
• Manage smaller bids in terms of complexity and win priority with no supervision.
• Help develop and maintain proposal database, including recommending content for the database based on Proposal Writer’s discretion.
• Maximize the use of proposal best practices and tools, including SharePoint.
• Support the implementation of proposal processes, templates, and tools by modeling such into practice.

Qualifications and requirements

Essential Knowledge:
• Five or more years of experience in government proposal writing specifically in health care.
• Ability to independently develop a story through both text and graphics.
Essential Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, or a relevant writing field.
• APM)-accreditation preferred; existing membership required.
Essential Skills:
• Must possess excellent written communication skills.

• Must be attentive to detail.
• Must be able to problem-solve.
• Must be able to break down technical content into easily digestible pieces to support sales documents.
