NIH Special Notice: Organizational DEIA Strategic Planning, and Training

Description

The objectives of this contract are to facilitate the delivery of: (1) expert advice, assistance, guidance, and counseling in support of the NEI mission-oriented business functions; and (2) training services including instructor led training, course development and administration, and learning management.

The Contractor shall provide services as described under NAICS 541611 Administrative Management and General Management Consulting Services, which includes providing operating advice and assistance to businesses and other organizations on administrative management issues, such as financial planning and budgeting, equity and asset management, records management, office planning, strategic and organizational planning, site selection, new business start-up, and business process improvement.

This industry also includes establishments of general management consultants that provide a full range of administrative, human resource, marketing, process, physical distribution, logistics, or other management consulting services to clients.

Specifically, the Contractor shall assist NEI with initiatives that produce the following business outcomes:

  • Promote NEI’s culture of psychological safety, trust, belonging, and scientific excellence, aligned with NEI’s DEIA Strategic Plan;
  • Create and promulgate professional and administrative processes and policies as needed, reinforcing business behaviors that are in alignment with NEI stated values and facilitate accomplishment of the strategic mission;
  • Enhance excellence in leadership and individual professional development;
  • Establish informal cross-functional communities/teams (not dictated or restricted by official organizational units and reporting lines of authority) to connect and align interested and affected parties around identified ‘challenge areas/tasks’ by enhancing effective communication, and refining and identifying innovative approaches to collaboration to effect successful outcomes; and
  • Bolster NEI trans-NIH presence through engagement with/contributions to, and support of numerous initiatives with other NIH Institutes and Centers and strategic partners.
