VHA EHRM-IO seeking Director, Quality and Patient Safety (Physician)

VA Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) is responsible for ensuring that VA successfully prepares for, deploys, and transitions to a new Electronic Health Record system. The Physician/Registered Nurse (Director, Quality, Safety and Value (QSV)) will manage and oversee quality control and assurance activities for the QSV program, and is located in the Office of the Functional Champion within EHRM-IO, which is aligned to the Office of the Deputy Secretary of VA.

Duties

This is a full performance level for a Physician Director (Quality, Safety and Value (QSV)).  Major duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage and oversee quality control and assurance activities.
  • Have the lead role on behalf of Office of the Functional Champion (OFC) in quality planning and will continue to oversee these activities as the program matures.
  • Build the Quality and Patient Safety program in EHRM-IO.
  • Work collaboratively with approved contractor(s) and the Office of the Assistant Deputy Under Secretary for Health for Quality, Safety. and Value to ensure there is a common understanding of the EHRM-IO objectives for quality and value.
  • Work closely with leadership at all levels, both inside and outside EHRM-IO, to ensure EHRM-IO is effective in its approach to fulfilling EHRM-IO program objectives.
  • Engage key national, VISN, and VAMC stakeholders in the creation of value objectives.
  • Define customer quality objectives and measures specific to Electronic Health Record (EHR) deployment, including identifying stakeholder expectations and criteria for meeting these expectations.
