Summary
This position is located within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Veterans Integrated Service Network 23 (VISN 23), Royal C. Johnson VA Medical Center (VAMC), within the Office of the Medical Center Director. This position serves as the Associate Medical Center Director for the Sioux Falls VAMC. The incumbent exercises line authority for multiple administrative and allied health services and sections.
Duties
The VA Midwest Health Care Network advocates for a Whole Health System of care in each of the Medical Centers. This is an approach to healthcare that empowers and equips people to take charge of their health and well-being and live their lives to the fullest. As an employee operating in a Whole Health System of care, you will operate in a model with three core elements, seeking to create a personalized health plan for each Veteran. This is done in the context of healing relationships and healing environments and a connection back to the Veteran’s community. Duties include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Sharing with the Executive Leadership Team a level of responsibility for the direction and management of the Medical Center and is directly responsible for all facilities operations.
- A direct line authority and leadership responsibility for all administrative operation support services.
- May serve as the Acting Medical Center Director in the absence of the Director.
