VHA seeking Director, Contracts Management & Performance

Summary

This position is within the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (VHA), Office of Integrated Veteran Care (IVC) and serves as Director, Contracts Management & Performance overseeing healthcare service administrative contract and contract support program. This position manages the development and implementation of administrative contract support and provides expert advice and analysis related to Program Office administrative contract activities, initiatives, and management.

Duties

Duties include, but may not be limited to:

  • Plan, coordinate, track, report, and communicate projects and related objectives within the Directorate overseen and ensure coordination with various stakeholders within and outside the Agency.
  • Communicate, orally and in writing, program management matters with a wide variety of Program Office and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other Program Office organizations to develop Program Office plans, processes, and other initiatives to achieve and maintain operational standards emphasizing quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Assist in and provide recommendations or proposals related to the formulation and analyses of the Directorate’s budget with finance personnel.
  • Ensure contract quality assurance surveillance plan and other relevant (e.g., legislative, contractual) requirements related to contractor staff, provider, and/or similar training are met and, as needed.
  • Interpret administrative policies, develop and implement local policies, define administrative requirements, and provide advice to management on related issues.
  • Prioritize contract implementation, language, interpretation, and similar problems encountered and work with other Program Office executive directorates and directorates to develop timely solutions.
