Washington, D.C. — The Office of Health Informatics (OHI) within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announces Meg Marshall, J.D., as the Director for Informatics Regulatory Affairs, Interagency Health Informatics under the Veterans Health Administration.
In this role, Marshall will collaborate with VHA informatics partners and interagency offices, including the Department of Health and Human Services, to maximize benefits to Veterans and VHA health care through the advancement of clinical informatics policies and programs in support of interoperability and clinical information systems.
“Meg Marshall’s appointment is exciting news for our agency and the Veterans we serve,” said Jonathan Nebeker, M.D., MPH, VHA chief medical informatics officer and executive director, Clinical Informatics and Data Management Office. “She brings experience leading high-level industry initiatives, and she will powerfully advance VA and Veteran interests in an increasingly robust market for clinical information systems.”
Marshall holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law and is a member of the Missouri Bar. Her most recent roles included Senior Director of Life Sciences with Cerner Enviza and Senior Executive, Head of Public Policy, for the Cerner Corporation.
