VA RFI: Real Time Location System (RTLS) Expansion IDIQ

Description

VA is considering award of a single award Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) firm fixed price contract that will provide RTLS hardware, software, documentation, and IT services to authorized users in VHA. Services include installation, end user acceptance testing, training, warranty services, engineering, and project management services. The scope of this contract shall include all VA Health Care Systems (VAHCS). Work may include expansion of RTLS capability at sites that currently have implemented RTLS, completion of implementations already started, and expansion of RTLS capabilities to new sites.

VA seeks to obtain information technology (IT) services, hardware, and software required by individual Task Orders to expand VA’s Real Time Location System (RTLS) that utilizes both CenTrak® (hardware and software) and Infor® LBI® (software) or equivalent hardware, software, and applications at VA medical centers (VAMC) and community-based outpatient clinics (CBOC) throughout VA.  VA seeks to utilize an RTLS that uses active radio frequency identification (RFID) and Wi-Fi based hardware and software to provide information regarding asset location, staff location, patient location, as well as environmental variables.  VA seeks to expand its solution that will provide hardware and software for zonal, room-level, and within-room level accuracy.

VA seeks to expand its RTLS platform that maps location data to provide end users with 1) a graphical user interface (GUI) displaying location status for individual assets, and 2) a set of business intelligence reports and dashboards.  VA seeks to expand its solution that will support the following applications:

Asset Tracking (AT) to locate non-expendable equipment;

Environmental Monitoring (EM) to monitor and report local temperature and humidity for equipment;

Patient Elopement and Wandering (PEW) prevention to ensure long-term clinical residents’ safety by tracking location of patients;
