CGI seeking Director of Business Development, VA

Responsibilities:

  • Drive understanding of pipeline opportunities within the 6 month period before RFP/RTEP release.
  • Build positive relationships with clients in order to better understand the opportunity and proactively offer solutions for their challenges.
  • Promote CGI full services offerings and help clients meet their strategic and tactical goals
  • Collect win themes and buyer values to transition deal responsibility to Capture Manager as opportunity crosses the 6-month gate; continue to support the Capture and Proposal Managers with client intimacy, win strategies, buyer values, pre-RFP efforts
  • Participate in negotiations with internal and external teammates.
  • Assess competitive landscape, figure out positioning of leading competitors, and develop strategic approaches to neutralizing their strengths
  • Act as CGI lead, trusted advisor and business partner, identify client needs and originate wedge opportunities to support VA challenges with CGI Solutions
  • Respond to request for information (RFI) or sources sought requests as appropriate, coordinating the requisite resources needed for a response and ensuring the right message is conveyed for the RFI response, and in consideration of CGI Federal’s win strategy.
  • Attract, build and develop talent, to ensure teams drive innovation and foster teamwork.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5-10 years of sales experience supporting a Federal sales cycle in a Business Development, Capture, or Proposal Lead role, with a strong record of accomplishment of delivering for your team; Experience with T4NG is a plus, but not required.
  • Previous experience in a similar role specifically supporting the VA, along with a network of relationships spanning VA customers and industry partners.
  • Experience and passion for developing “white space” opportunities.
  • Possess relationships with firms doing business with VA, and the ability to seek out and ingratiate yourself with partners you have yet to meet; Command an understanding of the teaming and competitive landscape, the capabilities companies bring and their positioning with VA for different opportunities
  • Ability to constructively influence and interact at the highest level of customer administrations.
  • Demonstrable ability to identify emerging business trends resulting in strategy recommendations to senior management, with a particular focus on understanding how to demonstrate technology differentiators.
  • Ability to travel to different client sites in the DC Metro area and around the US.
