“Description of Supplies or Services: The Virtual Regional Office (VRO) expedites Veterans’ disability claims. It is a custom-developed software system owned by VBA that leverages VHA computable medical data to automate administrative steps in the disability claim adjudication process. It equips VBA disability benefits adjudicators with information they need to handle disability claims more quickly, consistently, and accurately. The VRO analyzes incoming claims for automation eligibility, and it allows claims that are not eligible to follow standard claims processing pathways. Veteran PII and PHI flows through the VRO, between various VA systems such as the Master Person Index, VHA’s Corporate Data Warehouse, VBA’s Corporate Database, VA/DoD Identification Repository and VBA’s Veterans Benefits Management System and its eFolder. Contractor shall develop automation capabilities for the VRO system to automate disability claim adjudication processing for the identified disabilities. The automation capabilities shall include the collection and integration of PII and PHI data from various VA systems, such as Master Person Index (MPI), VHA’s Corporate Data Warehouse (CDW), VBA’s Corporate Database, VA/DoD Identification
Repository and VBA’s Veterans Benefits Management System (VBMS).”
