Responsibilities:
- Leads pursuit team in developing and substantiating winning value propositions that meet the needs of the customer, including analyzing critical business drivers and risks.
- Closes the deal or makes the final sale and brings in new business for the company for the best possible price.
- Develop and maintain a qualified business development pipeline
- Conducts research and uses information compiled by the staff to determine the best price and the best slate of services for the bid.
- Assists in opportunity qualification and risk assessment.
- Meets with prospective customers to answer questions and discuss a possible contract.
- Understands every aspect of a business opportunity including the scope of the project, how many resources will be needed, the impact on schedules, competitive pricing, and budgetary concerns.
- Responsible for validating/endorsing the technical solution.
- Works with delivery to ensure the solution design can be properly delivered.
- Develops deal timeline and ensures that pursuit team meets deal milestones and deadlines.
- Works with proposal developers to ensure that a top-notch proposal is submitted to the prospective client.
- Answers questions in the proposal and is involved in every phase.
Requirements:
- High level of vertical industry knowledge in the Federal Health IT market. The successful candidate understands the missions of the respective agencies and their cultures, organizational components, leadership, major programs, and their challenges.
- Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years’ experience delivering or selling complex IT service/solutions to the US Federal Government.
- Deep understanding of how to build a winning team, develop a win strategy, support Price to Win (PTW), support tech strategy development, and deliver differentiated bids that are technically outstanding.
- Track record of winning 5 or more $50M single-award deals in the US Federal Government within the past 5 years.
- Demonstrate knowledge of at least one solution type (Data Analytics, Digital Transformation, Cybersecurity, or Public Health and Clinical Information and Collaboration).
- Contacts at the executive level in the Federal Government communities.
