Responsibilities:
- Perform all aspects of business development and capture activities for the CMS market
- Oversee and actively participate in all opportunities through award; including opportunity identification, qualification, and proposal development
- Translate customer needs into requirements; effectively identify relevant opportunities that best align to Ventera’s core capabilities
- Build a robust pipeline of qualified leads through understanding of the CMS landscape and key relationships; actively engage with key customers on a regular basis
- Develop bid strategies and help maximize Ventera’s probability of win
- Perform market research to understand upcoming opportunities, including incumbent performance, client budgets, and scope of work
- Actively participate in industry events and conferences
- Serve as an active member on all CMS proposal teams
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in an IT consulting environment with a focus on selling Professional Services; must have deep knowledge of, and prior experience working with CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services); In lieu of IT consulting experience, individual could possess relevant and comparable Government experience with CMS
- Sales minded consultant who has been directly responsible for building a sustained book of business at CMS
- Ability to understand the existing and emerging markets for modern IT professional services and translate these needs into viable offerings for the company
- Understanding of modern solution approaches including Agile, Design, Cloud, and DevSecOps
- Prior experience in technical writing, proposal /publication writing, and writing capabilities statements & white papers
- Active participation in relevant industry associations
- Be forward thinking and a well-known leader within the CMS space
