“This position is a mission critical occupation and is responsible for ensuring that operational and fiscal activities align with and enable accomplishment of Health Resources and Services Administration’s mission, goals and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- “Managing all phases of daily operations, which includes compensation awards, negotiated settlement activities, records and information Systems management, personnel actions and employee recognition, and procurement planning and management.
- Utilizing delegated signing authority for all phases of payment processing for awards adjudicated by the U.S Court of Federal Claims under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) including the overseeing and reviewing payment authorization memoranda.
- Developing and preparing weekly and ad hoc data compilations, reports, and narratives for the use of the HSB Director, Dept. of Justice, Office of General Counsel, the Court , the Bureau, and the Agency to reflect appropriation and Trust Fund obligations, categorical analyses, payment and program trends, and performance indicators.
- Overseeing and finalizing the preparation of a variety of reports, position papers, instructions, justifications, and policy and/or procedure directives necessary for effective operation of the POB and the VICP.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of all information systems required to monitor documentation, the coordination of proposals and price quotes from annuity brokers, and the development of all associated data reports and cost projections.”
