Unite Us seeks Senior Director, Business Development (Federal DOD/VA)

“The Senior Director, Business Development for the Federal Health Sector will be responsible for direct business development efforts to generate direct and indirect sales and contract capture efforts. This position reports to our Vice President of Federal Sales and works to support our national and strategic accounts and other business units. You will lead pre-proposal shaping activities, orchestrate agency strategy, business development, teaming identification and partnerships, and related capture activities during proposal phases, and post-submittal activities, and be responsible for leading opportunities of approximately $50M or more toward high win probability.

This position provides an outstanding opportunity to play a key leadership role within our $1B/yr sector as we work together to transform social and community care coordination and population health utilizing our critical technology across the Federal community.”

Responsibilities:

  • “Responsible for new federal customer acquisition and execution in Federal Sales including direct sales with federal agencies, securing teaming opportunities and sub-contracts.
  • Lead federal market business development, agency account planning, pipeline origination/qualification/development, pursuit team assembly and opportunity to drive new sales
  • Work with company leadership and sales teams, strategic partners, and account teams, and extended channel partners to drive new opportunities in target accounts within federal marketplace
  • Develop, maintain, and manage the implementation of strategic sales plans
  • Represent Unite Us by driving business development with company partners
  • Personally engage in key account sales, business development, and ongoing customer success
  • Develop and actively maintain sales forecasts across assigned accounts and lines of business
  • Build and lead a team of dedicated business development and capture management resources in support of strategic plans and targeted accounts.
  • Ability to articulate the Unite US solutions and overall value proposition”

Requirements:

  • “Minimum 8 years of successful federal business development experience, preferably within IT, health technology products and services with a verifiable track record of exceeding expectations
  • Working knowledge and relationships with key VA/DOD agencies, leadership and experience with active programs associated with Veterans Affairs, DHA, TRICARE and CCN programs
  • Strong industry knowledge relationships; subject matter proficiency is preferred including capture management frameworks, federal contracting regulations, certifications and reporting
  • Exceptional consultative and interpersonal skills that have resulted in business relationships of impeccable trust, confidence, and results
  • Ability to understand complex content and relate content around industry issues, client needs, and Unite US service offerings”
