CDC seeks Special Projects Advisor OCOO/OD

“The incumbent will analyze and use pertinent data (research, studies, feedback, etc.) to help define the current state, problem statement, landscape and ultimately outline a vision for institutionalizing the development of talent and creating a diverse internal pipeline of leaders in a World Class Public Health Organization. Additionally, the work involves developing, formulating, implementing and assessing potential developmental frameworks. In this process, the incumbent will work closely with senior leaders, operating officials, supervisors and stakeholders to promote and lead change efforts required to gain support for recommended option(s).” 

“Duties: 

  • Conduct substantive and intensive independent reviews and analyses of unique business management functions, policies, and operational plans. 
  • Establish project study parameters and conduct extensive research and analysis to include eliciting and evaluating management’s comments on existing and proposed substantive changes to business management and operational programs. The impact of analytical findings and courses of action may include, but are not limited to, significant changes to key policies, processes, and procedures; adjustments to achieve greater economies of scale; changes in management approaches; incorporation of technological advances; heightening of security policies and awareness; and statutory requirements. 
  • As a result of findings identified during the review and analyses, draft and prepare guidance to implement and effect change, including proposals for business re-engineering and regulatory or policy guidance changes. 
  • Analyze and evaluate impacts on current and future goals, objectives, policies, strategic plans. Incorporate analytical and evaluative results into final guidance or recommendations. 
  • Prepare substantive reports on changes in business process improvements.”
