“Oversees and coordinates all information technology and information management (IT/IM) activities for FIC and is the IT/IM liaison with the other twenty-six institutes and centers in the NIH.
Develops IT strategies and plans for the Center at the enterprise level consistent with the strategic plan, standards and requirements of the NIH and DHHS.
Provides technical expertise to management and collaborates on developing long-range information technology programs for FIC.
Establishes objectives and, in concert with affected FIC components, budgets to facilitate the orderly and efficient capture, transport, storage, processing and dissemination of information throughout FIC.
Provides expert leadership and advice in planning, designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining server-based and personal computer-based information systems and applications.
Plans and organizes IT functions, delegating appropriate functions and responsibilities to IT staff or the appropriate Project Manager; ensures that positions are staffed with capable personnel with adequate training to perform their assigned duties.”
