“The duties for the position in the Division of Simplified Acquisition Policy and Services include serving as the Branch Chief for the Acquisition Services and Review Branch (ASRB). The ASRB develops NIH policies and guidelines in simplified acquisition matters and advises senior staff of Federal and departmental regulations which affect simplified acquisition operations. Monitors activities to ensure that only legitimate simplified acquisitions are made by the Delegated Offices of Acquisition and simplified acquisition communities and that they are made in accordance with established regulations and procedures. Develops, interprets, implements, and oversees policy for simplified procurements. Provides support to the NIH simplified acquisition community by developing and presenting training, providing manuals, help lines and general support and assistance, and performing oversight in these areas. Collects, analyzes, and evaluates simplified acquisition data and reports purchasing activity to NIH management and the Department.”
